About this journal
Asian Community Health Nursing Research (ACHNR) is a quarterly, international, open access, peer-reviewed journal published by Indonesian Community Health Nursing Association of West Java Province (IPKKI Jawa Barat), in collaboration with Faculty of Nursing Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), Bandung, Indonesia. ACHNR publishes empirical research reports (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods), systematic reviews, program evaluations, and case reports focused on communities, families, and populations at risk across the lifespan. The journal also prints articles related to developments in practice, education of community health nursing, family nursing, gerontology nursing, school health nursing, theory development, methodological innovations, legal and ethical policy issues in the area of community health nursing throughout the world. While the primary readership of the Journal is Asian Countries, global community health nursing issues and concerns of interest to nurses are also addressed.
Aims:
Asian Community Health Nursing Research (ACHNR) aims to provide worldwide open access to timely research and practice features of use to community health nurses, students, administrators, and educators in the field of community health nursing, family health nursing, and gerontology nursing.
Scope:
Its scope is in the range of community-based (including family and groups) concerns and interventions in which nurses and/or other health professionals are involved. The journal emphasizes scholarship on communities in urban and rural areas. Articles include research studies (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods), systematic reviews, program evaluations, practice concepts, and educational features published with the goals to improve the health outcomes of people in the community. Authors from all disciplines are invited to submit manuscripts relevant to community health nursing, family health nursing, gerontology nursing, occupational health nursing, and school health nursing. Authors who have questions about the appropriateness of a manuscript for publication in this journal are encouraged to communicate with the Editors prior to submission.
